MOTOGP :A-style TT Assen Deutch GP RESULTS

ROSSI is back and back with a bang ….the doctor is back to winning ways with a stunning performance from being 12 th at one point of the race to come back and win the race ..he was absolutely fantabulous today !He was the fastest man on the track lap after lap, gliding through the field to get to the front.He took third from Nicky Hayden on lap nine before also grinding down Rizla Suzuki’s John Hopkins for second with his next target in the form of Casey Stoner.Valentino Rossi pulled Casey Stoner to within 0.008 and made a few attempts to pass before eventually getting through on lap 22 to take the lead and then immediately build a 1.27sec gap on the way to victory.

and Rossi added: “It was a good race. Starting from 11th I was quite worried but I know in this condition we are quiet fast.

“I have some advantage in my lap so when I arrived behind him (Casey Stoner) my tyre was sliding but in the last three laps I was very fast and managed to win.”

Well it was raining yet again ,and chris vermulen proved he s one of the best riders in rain taking the pole position . The ducati – stoner combo working very well yet again grabbed the second with a surprise third place grabbed by Randy de puniet !

Rossi unable to find the best setup and tire combo was 11 th fastest almost 2 seconds behind chris !

Rossi commented: “For sure today in the wet we had some problems and the fourth row is not great! Of course in order to fight for the victory here I would prefer to be nearer the front, as to win from the fourth row is quite hard! We’ve given ourselves a difficult job to do and now I will need to have a perfect race, with no mistakes from start to finish, in order to come back towards the front.” “I’m quite sad about the weather because I think from the front row I would definitely have been in a position to try to win tomorrow. We need to make the right tyre choice and we need to make a good start, because it’s not so easy to pass people here.”

RC really??

Well my latest pet project has been a research session on what rc car to buy. The project passed a couple of stages then it got scrapped. You guys are wondering why i am even writing about this right?? For starters I never thought driving a great rc car was kiddish, I underline the word great. Nowadays these cars seem to be constructed at an entirely new level. They use oil filled shocks, limited slip diffs what not…. Ill bet you are impressed. I was floored by this video.

Now you must be thinking cool, why don’t i get one of those, well i wanted to get a nitro powered car as these seem way more entertaining because of the IC engines. Finally I narrowed my decision to two models, it was the either the bug or the lambo.

Both these kits had to be assembled from scratch and they did not include the radio controller. The problem was the entire setup worked upto Rs. 18,000. 😦 So there I had to dunk both choices due to non-availability of cash. If anyone is ready to sponsor me I am really ready to buy. 😛 . Seriously if any of you are gona buy take a look at these two models they seem worth it.

Ever wondered why is this indian government so stupid abt importin motorbikes ,and at last we end up with products that don t even deserve to be called a motorcycle ! but this has a flipside too ,this makes some manufaturers to try something to satisfy the average joe who needs performance with a performance motorcycle ! and one such product , or maybe even the first of its kind is the BAJAJ pulsar 180 .

DATE AQUIRED : 9 th AUG 2005

MILEAGE : 10200 kms

RIDE & HANDLING :

The ride is ok and can do wonders with a stiffer suspension setup ! otherwise it ain t too soft either ,for hard riders stiffening up would be a better option ! overall :7/10

the handling is a slick and is good for cutting traffic ,but when u reach a corner its like in no mans land , u need to slow down to take the corner otherwise it understeers a lot ! overall:7/10

The brakes are very good and the disc upfront is very good and any good rider would feel secure to brake late , the rear brakes are ok and tend to lock at moments ! overall:9/10

Expenses on parts related to ride (shocks setup n stuff ) = nil

Expenses on handling parts =changed the cone fork which got a little too tght and led to crappy handling

Expenses on brakes= disc pads have been chnged twice

ENGINE & GEARBOX :

The engine feels a bit stressed but still performs really well and the response is also good, with proper maintainence like timely oil change and proper carb tuning the engine performs wonderfully well ,and the revs rise quickly with no lag reaching the powerband with ease .The clutch after excessive engine braking and hard shifts looks to have worn out and requires a chnge soon Overall = 9/10

The gearbox is a bit notchy ,the usual bajaj stuff .. and false neutral occurs with ultimate ease if u don t concentrate on the shift ! so u need to ride a lot to find the optimum speed and time where u can shift with no false neutrals and then it ain t a problem ! but still for new riders and careless riders who complain about the machines it is diff to shift !Overall:6/10

Expenses on engine : the usual oil chnge and nrml bike maintenence stuff alone

Expenses on gearbox : Nothin actually

PERFORMANCE & FUEL CONSUMPTION:

The performance is top notch ! and has just got better with the engine getting better with every km , there was never a drop in performance of the bike ! , the top speed (as on the speedo) achieved is 125 kmph (single rider 70kg) the acceleration is vgood till 60 (good enuf to b a zma) and then the bike takes some time to reach 100kmph and even more to reach the top whack!Overall:9/10

The fuel consumption is vgood when u ride sane ,and it does not burn ur pocket when u ride hard ,its the best bike u can get now if u want proper fuel consumption and performance together . BEst Efficiency : 43kmpl ; Worst ever : 29kmpl ;Average:38kmpl overall:8/10

UPGRADES : A MICHELIN pilot sport 130/70 section For the rear and it performs expcetionally well over the stock rear tire ! COST= 3200 rs

FINAL SAY :

One of the best bikes in the country which satisfies the thirst to some extent for the small percentage of performance enthusiasts ! with proper maintainence and care should be a great buy bike to have OVERALL : 8/10

SWIFT cooperwell guys being a lil vetti these days at home, n after hearing from kamesh dat his swift needs a lil face lift, i sat before the PC n started working on ahem well my favorite MS paint shop n started giving the swift a much needed addon look, well u may call this the swift mini or much better the swift cooper (kamsi add a turbo n we’ll call it the “S”). it is well know that the new swift’s lines are based on the bmw mini so i jus thot why not give it the cooper looks too. since the car already has the much needed bling wheels n huge tyres i guess this mod wud surely make kamsi’s car somewhat unique. take a look at the pics n tell me if u really like it or not. ahem suggestions 2 make it look better are also accepted

MOTOGP Donington park results :

1. Casey Stoner(DUCATI marlboro )

 It was declared a wet race , and colin edwards who took a wonderful start soon lost it to dani pedrosa , and managed to get it back after a few laps !, casey stoner inspite of a bad start was fighting through the traffic and was riding like a champion . Valentino inspit of a descent start fought his way hard and managed to move to 3 rd place and to lost it to vermulen and finished fourth ,it looked like valentino s tire was losing traction – reports yet to come !,while stoner overtook colin and retained the first place !..colin never looked in the fight and ended the race in second !…the way in which Stoner rides proves he might become the champion this year !

Antony West the rider replacing Olivous jacque rode a very good race before crashing and ending the race at 12 th . Loris and NIcky rode very well ( for the first time this season ) and eventually crashing-hard luck !

Now Casey Stoner is at a comfortable lead of 26 points  in the championship ! and its goin to be hard time for VALENTINO this year !
