Surprising European GrandPrix

23 07 2007

Well Well Alonso seems to have cut Hamiltons lead a lot. Heavy rains seems to have a large impact on the performance of the Ferraris. Alonso had finished at pole after overtaking Massa at the last five laps. Hamilton held a faltering performance and finished ninth. The Ice Man was at third place when at half distance he was forced to retire due to  a mechanical mishap. The highlight of the day was the Debutant Markus Winkelhock in the Spyker was leading the race initially when he started from the pits with wet tyres. All the other cars set on dry tyres were facing problems from corner one.  Finally the race ended with Alonso at first, Massa at second and Webber at forth. Kimi’s chance at the title seems weak, but there might be a turn of events after the court hearing against McLaren. Alonso has a shot at the title by closing the gap with Hamilton.
