I partially agree with mikethebike - but I still say that it is really not possible to make any one rider "the best of all time". Obviously this is because of different time periods/machine technology/ track conditions etc.
However, I will state that Rossi could not do today, what Hailwood(and others) did in their time, which is ride in two or three GP races in different classes IN ONE DAY. Whether you think that it is because of greater demands on a rider in the one class is your privelege, but riders of Hailwoods generation (Jim Redman, Phil Read, Bill ivy et al) regularly competed in more then 2 GP's at the same meeting.
Then, when the public were saying that Hailwood was only winning because he was riding superior machinery (the MV Augusta 500 and 350), he came to Blighty on an Easter weekend to ride a Matcless G50 (500 sinlge) and an AJS 7R(350 single) at mettings on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and STILL beat all the same blokes he met at a GP. Now that is class, and why I just give him the edge over my modern day favourite, Valentino Rossi.

GIACOMA AGOSTINI: Getting the licence signature from his father by telling the licence is for bicycle racing needs a special character and passion towards racing.
No doubt he was the one and only king of kings in the motoGP racing of all times.... others can join the club......

No question, Kenny Roberts. In his bio the most used word is "first" even more telling is what the "first's "were. He absolutely blew away the field in the US and Europe by passing whole groups of riders while sliding through the F^&$*ng turns! He drove the most wicked powerful untractable Yamaha 2 strokes on earth! Even crazier, he put one of those monsters in a flat tracker and again blew away the competition. That was the day when men were men and they had to build in nut cups in the seats to race. This is not to take away from other greats but Roberts ran at a time where power far exceeded technology

I saw all of them and the best is VALENTINO ROSSI. He has something more technical and in the mind.
He is a very special person.
My second favorite is Mike Hailwood, great man.
